My Mérida Shoes

My new Mérida shoes are so cute I wanted to show them off! The photo did not make it in the Colorful Mérida post.

I think this fabric – Merida Facades – was perfect for my souvenir shoes from Tags alpargatas. There are fun fabrics – chili peppers, tacos, cats, flowers, donuts, etc. – something to fit all ages and personalities. I really wished I could order a pair for everyone in my family.

Tags alpargatas works with local Mayan villages crafting shoes. The hard part is choosing the style and fabric from the hundred or so colorful and fun prints. It takes about a week until your shoes are ready to be picked up. They cost about $15USD.
